As a member in the Miscellaneous New Plan, contributions are set at 7.5% of covered salary (excluding overtime), and for members in the Miscellaneous Old Plan contributions are set at 8.0% of covered salary (including overtime).
Every August, SFERS will mail a statement to the member’s home address showing the member’s account balance which includes the contributions made to the plan plus interest.
