As a member in the Safety New Plans, contributions are set at 7.5% of salary (excluding overtime and most premium pay), and for members in the Safety Old Plans contributions are set at 7.0% of salary (excluding overtime and most premium pay).
Every August, SFERS will mail a statement to the member’s home address showing the member’s account balance which includes the contributions made to the plan plus interest.
