SFERS strongly encourages all retired 
members and beneficiaries to have monthly retirement allowances directly deposited into their bank account. By electing an Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT), the member’s (survivor’s) monthly allowance will generally post to his/her bank account no later than the evening of the payment authorization date, so members generally would have access to their monthly allowance earlier than if they received a check through the mail.
An EFT assures that monthly allowance payments will be available to members in a timely manner regardless of disruption or delay in mail delivery. To sign up for EFT, complete and return an EFT form.
